Edward Joseph Bloomer, Jr.

Edward J. Bloomer, 73 years old, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at NHC of Bluffton.

Edward was born January 22, 1947 and grew up in Jersey City, NJ. He married Linda Macaluso in September 1970. Together, they raised their family in Somerset, NJ. Edward earned his BS degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ and his Master’s degree in Business from Pace University in New York City, NY. He worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Inc., while also serving in the National Guard for six years. He loved golf and working in his yard.

Edward is survived by his wife, Linda (Macaluso); three children, Keith Bloomer (Lynn), Gina Walker (Jon), and Lisa Letarte (Mark); six grandchildren, Katie Bloomer, Phoebe Walker, Jonathan Walker, Charlotte Letarte, Jenna Letarte, and Nolan Letarte; brother, Tom (Louise) Bloomer; nephews, Nick and Chris; brothers-in-law, George Macaluso (Craig James) and Joe Macaluso (Rosa); nephew, Lorenzo; and niece, Olivia.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
