Edward Meinard Eberle, 83, of Bluffton, passed away May 26, 2012 at NHC of Bluffton.He was born on June 6, 1928, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Edward and Emma Eisenhut Eberle.Ed attended Kings Point and Drexel University. His career as a Mechanical Engineer started at Delaval Corporation and then Standex International where he became president of seven divisions in the US and Germany. In 1977 he purchased Kennedy Industries in Michigan. During the following 19 years he fulfilled his dream of growing it into a leading sales and repair facility. In 1995 he sold the business and Ed and Betty moved to Hilton Head Island. In 2006 they moved to Sun City. He fought a courageous 28 year battle with Parkinsons. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Wonderful friends and memories were made throughout his life and he wanted to thank you all for walking this journey with him.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Lou Eberle; sons Richard Eberle and Edward (Marcie) Eberle; daughter Bonnie Marsalese; brother Walter Eberle; 3 grandchildren, Philip Marsalese, and Eddie and Katie Eberle; a loving family of in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.Services will be held at a later date in Michigan.Memorial donations may be made in Edward
