On February 12, 2013, Edward (Tommy) H Hopson lost his courageous battle with non small cell lung cancer. He was born on September 7, 1936 in Washington, DC, the son of Edward H Hopson Sr and Rosa Brooks Hopson (both deceased). He was married for 51 years to Betty Ann Hopson, who survives; as do their children, Edward (Tommy) Hopson III (Susan) of Mt Pleasant, SC, Priscilla Ann Stephens(Donald) of Bluffton, SC, Rebecca Ann Perrenoud (Kevin) of Heber City, UT and John Barrett Hopson of Richmond, VA. His grandchildren; Justin Stephens, Douglas Barrett Stephens, Barrett Hopson, MacCaulay Hopson, Brooke Hopson, Rachel Hopson, Kennon Hopson, Brooks Perrenoud and Ansley Perrenoud, were the joy and delight of his life. Tommy attended the University of Georgia, where he obtained a BS in Economics and a BS in Accounting. He worked for Hargray Telephone Company for 30 years, much of that time as head of their Accounting Department.
