Edwin Perley Lewis

Edwin Perley Lewis, 89, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011, at his home on Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 30, 1921. He was the son of the late Walter and Grace Harrington Lewis. He was a member of The Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC and he was also a Past Master of Glendale Lodge 368 of Glendale, CA.He is survived by his wife Gloria Hicks Lewis; two sons, William Lewis of San Clemente, CA and Matthew Lewis of Chatham, NJ; and daughter, Darlene Dye of Palos Verdes, CA. He was predeceased by his son Edwin P. Lewis III.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC.The family requests memorial donations be made to the Church of the Cross School, 495 Buckwalter Pkwy, Bluffton, SC 29910.Sauls Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements.(www.saulsfh.com)
