Eileen D. Schmidtberg

Eileen D. Schmidtberg, 85 of Hilton Head Island and widow of Walter Schmidtberg passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Hilton Head Hospital. Eileen was a long time resident of New Jersey and recently moved to Hilton Head Island. She was born in Newark, NJ to the late Martin and Vivian Sheridan Ruppert. She was a homemaker; a Catholic; loved to play scrabble and watch Jeopardy. Eileen is survived by Terry Turner (John) of Bluffton, SC, Margaret Beatty (Ronald) of Neptune City, NJ and Elizabeth Elmquist (Greg) of Hilton Head Island, SC; one sister, Doris Spagnuolo of Toms River, NJ; grandchildren, Michael D'Amico (Ester), Kim Turner, Debbie D'Amico, Heather Crass (Trey) and Eric Mieloch; great grandchildren, Alicia D'Amico, Joshua D'Amico, Erica D'Amico, Michael D'Amico, Micayla D'Amico and Angelina D'Amico. Eileen was predeceased by one daughter, Margaret D'Amico and one son, Leonard D'Amico. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Eileen D. Schmidtberg. Funeral services will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison, NJ on Friday, September 4, 2015 with entombment in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, NJ.
