Eleanor Mccarthy Lenahan

Eleanor McCarthy Lenahan, 83, of Bluffton, SC died August 8, 2012 at her home.She was born on July 5, 1929 in Bronx, NY the daughter of the late Edmund and Otilda Sonnett McCarthy.She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed all types of subjects in oils, water colors, and acrylics. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. She enjoyed travelling.She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Edward Lenahan, Jr. and son Thomas Richard Lenahan, and two sisters; Marilyn McCarthy and Kathleen Ehrmann.She is survived by her son, Bill Lenahan of Brooklyn, NY; daughters Patti Jarrell (Bobby) of HHI, SC, Mary Lenahan of New York, Joan DeMaio (Tom) of Glen Rock, NJ, Jean Qualliu (Bash) of Ho Ho Kus, NJ, Reenie Mosley (Robert) of Bluffton, SC, Kippy Lenahan of Glen Rock, NJ and Kathleen Heslin (Bobby) of Bluffton, SC; daughter in law Janet Lenahan of Ramona, CA; and 17 grandchildren.A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head Island, SC.Memorial donations may be made to Tidewater Hospice, 10 Buckingham Plantation Drive Bluffton, SC 29910.
