Elias Mokole

Elias Mokole, 92 joined his beloved Theresa in heaven on September 12, 2017. Born in Akron and known as "Louie" to his family and friends, the couple owned and ran the Mogadore restaurant Roma Pizzeria from 1948-1976. They always made their customers feel like family and Louie's infectious laughter from the bar along with Theresa's powerful voice warbling from the kitchen could be heard by all who came to the family restaurant to eat drink and be merry. Louie and Theresa worked side by side with each of their children; daughters, Evonne, Sandy, and Christine and sons Eric and Elias Lee; and each child witnessed the warmth, compassion, and tireless work ethic modeled by their parents. Preceded in death by his wife Theresa and daughter Diane, Elias is survived by his children, Eric Mokole (Burke, VA), Evonne Cox (Beaufort, SC), Sandra and son-in-law Wallace Brown (Phoenix, AZ), Christine Mokole (Los Angeles, CA), Elias Mokole (Duluth, MN); sisters, Emmeline Saad of Toledo, OH; Bernice Mazalin of Bryan OH, Ramona Getzinger of Boca Raton, FL; grandsons, Jason and wife Traci, James Elias and wife Alanna; and great grandchildren, Eleanor, Evelyn and Elias. A private service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
