Elizabeth A. (Beth) Fedgechin passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025 in Bluffton, SC. Formerly, Beth was a resident of the Plymouth Meeting, PA area. She was 91.
Born at home on October 18, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the youngest child of her beloved parents, the late Victor Ernest and Irene C. (Bryson) Seargent.
Beth fondly remembered her childhood and young adulthood on South Vodges Street, where many happy memories were spent with close family and friends. She also enjoyed excursions to Bartram’s Park, Mermaid Lake, and to her extended Bryson relatives in Manayunk and Phoenixville.
She graduated from the West Philadelphia Catholic Girls’ School in 1951.
At a local U.S. Veterans’ Association social event, Beth met her beloved husband John Fedgechin, also of South Vodges Street. They were married on November 17, 1956, and spent 63 years together until his death in 2019.
Beth and John, along with their four children, relocated to Plymouth Meeting in 1965 and resided at the family home for over 50 years.
Most of all, Beth will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, and MomMom.
Beth is survived by two daughters, Ann (Peter) Bianco of Blue Bell, PA and Jean (the late Richard) Ragan of Lansdale, PA; one son, Thomas (Michele) Fedgechin of Bluffton, SC; Four grandchildren, Irene Alic, Andrea Gula, Pietro Max (Alli Baron) Bianco, and Ben Fedgechin; As well as one great grandson, Jack Gula, one great granddaughter Peyton Baron, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beth was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Irene Fedgechin; sisters Ruth Jane Seargent & Ann Adele Fili; and brothers Victor Ernest Seargent II & Bernard Seargent.
Interment and services will be held privately at the request of the family.
