Elizabeth "Bette" A. Sundell

Elizabeth A. “Bette” Sundell passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, from her battle with Dementia, at Life Care Center of Hilton Head Island, SC.

Bette was born August 23, 1941 in Hamburg, NY to the late Francis and Maybelle Wakelee. Bette was a hard worker in all that she did. She was a pioneer mom, who raised her children to be independent. She loved sewing, crafting and camping.

In addition to her parents, Bette was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne; brother, George; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and a great-grandson, Corey Swims. She is survived by her siblings, Carol, Susan, Linda, Patricia (John) and Robert; children, Amy (Anthony), Michael (Robin), Kim (John), Deborah (Guy), and Jessica (Roger); 11 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bette will be missed greatly. Rest in peace.
