Elizabeth Bourne Gee

Elizabeth Bourne Gee, age 70, of Bluffton, SC died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at her home. Elizabeth was born on March 1, 1945 in Charlottesville, VA, the daughter of Gaston and Mary Lee Wayland Gee. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she earned her BS and MEd in Early Childhood Education. She taught at Hilton Head Christian Academy for over 15 years. She served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines/Indonesia for 8 years, teaching the children of missionaries. She also served with Pioneers in Indonesia for 8 years, involved with national women. Elizabeth is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Gee Foster (Bobby) of Columbia, SC, Charles Gee (Kathy) of West Columbia, SC, William Gee of Denmark, SC; 6 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Grace Community Church, Hilton Head Island, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Grace Community Church, 450 Spanish Wells Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 or the Live Oak Christian Church Building Fund, 4454 Bluffton Parkway Crescent, Bluffton, SC 29910. Elizabeth's family would like to thank her friends, extended family, doctors & Hospice Care of the Lowcountry for all of their love and care.
