Ellen Madeline Cook

Ellen Madeline Cook, age 79 passed away peacefully at her home in Bluffton on May 25, 2018 surrounded by her children. Ellen was born in Portal, Georgia to the late David L. and Bernice Newton Cowart. She was a loving wife to her husband, Arthur Gene Cook who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother to her deceased son, James Allen Collins and her surviving daughters, Judy DuBose (David L.), Clydie Faye Cribbs and Debra Collins all of Bluffton. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Alvin Cowart of Windville, AL; sisters, Dorothy Grice (Larry) of Portal, GA and Marilyn Tucker (Red) of Metter, GA; her grandchildren, Tammy Rivers, Sammy Rivers, Mandy Collins, Chris Collins, Jerry Turner, Katie Collins, Jamie Collins, Nikki Collins, Wayne Cribbs and Serina Collins, 21 great grandchildren and many loving friends. Ellen was a dependable worker and faithful to her employers. By faith, she was a Baptist. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton until the funeral service begins at Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lowcountry Memorial Gardens.
