Ellen Benton Roberts Hagadorn

Ellen Benton Roberts Hagadorn, 83 of Ridgeland, SC and widow of Lloyd Roberts and Donald Hagadorn, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Calhoun Convalescence Center in St. Matthews, SC. She was born in Hendersonville, SC on July 4, 1930 to the late Frank and Angie Proveaux Benton. She was owner of Ellen's Dress Shop and formerly employed at Holiday Wear Manufacturing. She was a member of the Great Swamp Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Tony Roberts (Barbara) of Ridgeland; her daughter, Nora R. Toomey (Neil) of Eutawville,SC; one sister, Edith Taylor of Walterboro, SC; eleven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Ellis, Johnny and Oden Benton and sisters, Ruth Benton and Cora Scott. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Great Swamp Baptist Church, Ridgeland, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service at the church.
