Elmer Christian Snyder

Elmer Christian Snyder, 94, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at his home.He was born in Mercer County, PA on July 11, 1915. He was the son of the late Otto and Barbara Iann Snyder.He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after forty years. He was a member of the Kiwanis, Masons, Shriners and Jesters. He liked golfing.He is survived by his wife of 71 years whom he met ballroom dancing, Jane Snyder of Bluffton, SC; two sons, Wayne Snyder of Akron, OH and Gary (Holly) Snyder of Bluffton, SC; one daughter, Sandra (James) Jeffers of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Bee Fouch of Bethesda, Maryland; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 6, 2010 in the First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army, 1804 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902 or the Shrines Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
