Elvira Singleton, 78, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 in Douglasville, GA. She was born on October 12, 1934 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Benjamin and Geneva Hicks Singleton. She was a Professional Housekeeper for the Sherman family. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Mary Ann) Singleton of Waco, TX; Troy (Noreen) Singleton of Lithia Springs, GA; daughters, Patricia Singleton of Waco, TX; Sandra (Norvel) Wiggins of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Johnny (Linda) Hicks of Willingsboro, NJ; sisters, Jannie Hicks of Philadelphia, PA; Rosa (Lawrence) Bowers of Ridgeland, SC; Geneva Williams of Tucker, GA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Mount Carmel Baptist Center with burial following in Roseland Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
