Elwood Richard Cook

Elwood Richard Cook, 86 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at his home.He was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 6, 1925. He was the son of the late Henry Richard and Wilhelmenia Fredricks Cook.He was a motor vehicle operator for Queens General Hospital in New York City. He was a member of the Island Lutheran Church. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and a US Air Force veteran of Korea.He is survived by his wife, Dolores E. Cook of Bluffton; one son, Richard John Cook of Hilton Head Island; two daughters, Denise Evelyn Cook and Alisa Ellen Cook both of Hilton Head Island; and two grandchildren, Nathan Edward Cinocca and Lindsay Ann Schob both of Hilton Head Island. He was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Jaconi.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Island Lutheran Church, 4400 Main St., Hilton Head Island, SC.The family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, P.O.
