Ernest R. Burnette

Ernest R. Burnette, 67, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at his home in Early Branch, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on December 15, 1944 to the late E. L. Burnette and Dorothy Ramsey Burnette. He was a retired Technical Sgt. In the US Air Force; Veteran of Vietnam; member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and formerly employed at Owens Supply Company.He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Burnette of Early Branch, SC; one daughter, Lorraine (Glenn) Stringfield of Beech Island, SC; three stepsons, Troy Smoak of Ruffin, SC; Kevin Smoak of Grays, SC and Barry (Lisa) Smoak of Bloomingdale, GA; brother, Billy Burnette of Macon, GA and seven Grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2012 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Grays, SC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
