Ernest Wells Gaymon

Ernest Wells Gaymon, 81 years old, passed away on February 4, 2020 in Ridgeland, where he lived for many years.

Mr. Gaymon was born in Olanta, SC on October 23, 1938 to the late Marshall Gaymon and Pauline McElveen Gaymon.

Mr. Gaymon was employed by Smith Ford, Jasper Motors and later Island Tire as an automotive mechanic.  For pleasure he enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping.  As a Christian, he assisted, with great pleasure, those who needed him.

Mr. Gaymon is survived by his two sons, Charles E. Gaymon (Marie) of Tillman, SC and Darrell J. Gaymon of Ridgeland, SC; his step daughter, Naomi Beach (Byron),  his sister, Velma Faile (Jerry) of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Lauren, Lindsey Price (Perry), Zack, Tabitha Arzillo (Jess); and great grandchildren, Arianna, J.J., Ethan Price and Addie Price and his step grandchildren, Emily, Allison and Olivia.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Floyd Cemetery, Tillman, SC.
