Eula Ellen Cooler

Eula Ellen Cooler, 85 of Hardeeville, SC and wife of Arthur E. Cooler Jr. passed away at her home on October 28, 2016.

Mrs. Cooler was born February 5, 1931 in Hardeeville, SC to the late David Lewis Cooler and Ida Katherine Walls Cooler. She was a member of Red Dam Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a WMU director. She was a professional housekeeper for Fiddler’s Cove of Hilton Head Island. Mrs. Cooler enjoyed many different crafts, such as ceramics, quilting, crochet, and Christmas ornaments. She loved gardening and canning.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Cooler is survived by her nieces, Marie Malphrus (Ronnie) of Ridgeland, SC and Christine Roof (Steve) of Hardeeville, SC; nephew, Hugh Gibbs of Hardeeville, SC; grandchildren, Tonya Tillman, Connie Williams, Rhonda Malphrus, Laurie Parson, Brian Roof, and Ashley Mussen; and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert Cooler and Davis Cooler and her sisters, Dorothy Davis, Lucy Toomer, Eva Riley, Etta Brabham, Inez Davis, Margaret Cooler, and Florrie Cooler.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Avenue, Ridgeland. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
