Eva Louise Bennett

Eva Louise Bennett, 90, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord Jesus on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Hilton Head Hospital. Louise was born on April 2, 1925 in Jacksonville, Florida to Eva Pearl Hughes Halford and James Willis Halford. She spent her childhood in Florida and Savannah, Georgia and in 1965 moved to the Lowcountry of Beaufort County with her husband and four daughters. Louise had a lifelong passion for studying and teaching the Bible. She led Bible studies throughout her life, impacting the lives of so many by helping them to understand and strengthen their faith. Even at 90 years old, Louise taught a weekly Bible study for her wonderful ladies at Bloom Assisted Living, and continued to do so until just a few weeks before her passing. Eva Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hansford Troy Bennett, her sisters, Bea Shepard and Pat Saul, her brother, Earl Halford, Sr., and granddaughter Stephanie Lynn Nix. She is the beloved mother of her girls, Sue Daniels (Lamar) of Elloree, SC, Dona Harvey (Blue) of Early Branch, SC, Jan Denham (Fred) of Charleston, SC, and Tammie Nix (Joe/Nick) of Hilton Head Island; grandmother to Todd Harvey, Chris Daniels, Coby Daniels, Christi Anderson, Kerri Puckett, David Denham, Stephen Nix and Philip Nix and great grandmother to Matt, Taylor, Bennett, Myer, William, Logan Kerri, Judah, Uriah, Ezra and Asa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton with burial at 1:00 pm in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton.
