Evelyn Cowart Wiggins

Evelyn Cowart Wiggins, 92 of Metter, GA, and formerly of Bluffton, SC, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, GA.She was born in Savannah, GA on January 3, 1920 the daughter of the late Frances and John Cowart. She was the youngest of eight children and was the last survivor.She was a resident of Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center where she was the 2nd Runner-Up in the Ms. Azalea Pageant in 2010 and 2011. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.She was predeceased by one son, Rudy Wiggins, and one daughter, Virginia Hubbard.She is survived by five grandchildren; Shelly Strange (Jeff) of Cobbtown, GA, Cathy Lamb (Greg) of Taylors, SC, Bubba Hubbard (Gayle) of Bluffton, SC, Kerry Hubbard of Bluffton, SC, and J.J. Hopkins (Jackie) of Canastota, NY; and seven great grandchildren.
