Frances Leonarda (Cucchia) Wright

Frances (Fran) Cucchia Wright, born on July 15, 1942, passed away on February 8, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Fran is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Wright, two children: Susan Geist (Scott Geist), and Peter Wright (Amy Wright) and four grandchildren: Kevin Geist, Brent Geist, Nathan Wright and Kayla Wright.  Fran devoted her life to caring for those close to her.  Fran was the eldest of three daughters and was raised by her parents Rosalie and Joseph Cucchia.  She was a proud mom and even prouder grandma.  She was born in Staten Island, NY and spent most her younger years in Grand Rapids MI where she graduated from Creston High School.  She received an Associate’s Degree from Grand Rapids Junior College and then went on to Michigan State before marrying and moving to the North East.  She spent 31 years in Delran, New Jersey where she raised her two children and worked as a Systems Analyst for Subaru of America and then as a part time bank teller in Burlington, NJ.  She retired to the Crescent in Bluffton, SC in August of 2004 where she was very active and participated in many of the group activities.  She greatly appreciated her friends and family.  Fran lived a full life and was loved by many.

A service for Fran will be Wednesday, the 15th of February at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, South Carolina.  Visitation will begin at 11 AM.  She will be laid to rest at the VA Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
