Frances Elizabeth (Mikula) Kristoff

Frances “Mickey” Kristoff passed away on January 23,   2024 surrounded by all of her children.

She was born in Chicago to Paul and Mary (Fugger) Mikula on June 17, 1923, moved to Columbus, Ohio with her husband, Walter “Kris” Kristoff and four children in 1959 and finally to Hilton Head SC in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kris, and brother, Paul, and is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret Reuther of Chicago, her sons James of Philadelphia, Robert (Kim) of San Francisco and Michael (Patty) of Hilton Head, eight grandchildren - Jessica (Russell), Brian (Lindsey), Nick (Austin), Alex (Emily), Mits (Ryan), Nate, Omi (Nick), Cassie (Davis) and eight great grandchildren – Nehemiah, Joshua, Max, Nico, Anders, Thomas Fox, Nathaniel and Coco along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mickey graduated from St. Louis Academy in Chicago. During WWII Mickey was Supervisor of Women at International Harvester and a Red Cross volunteer. She is a past Regent of Int’l Federation of Catholic Alumni, a Eucharistic Minister of St Francis by the Sea Catholic Church & member of its Women’s Club, the Hilton Head Garden Club and the Notre Dame Club.
