Frank W. Bauer

Frank W. Bauer, 77, passed away on December 17, 2023 at home due to complications after surgery.

Born March 5, 1946 in Springfield, Massachusetts, Frank was the son of the late Frank W. Bauer, Sr. and Angeline V. Panagotopulos. He grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Western New England University, majoring in Business Administration.

He was employed by Aetna for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He is survived by his wife Linda, married 53 years. They lived in Longmeadow, Massachusetts for 34 years before relocating to Bluffton, SC in 2013.

Frank and Linda loved their summers together at the beach in Newport, Montauk, and Cape May. They also enjoyed the Hilton Head beaches with their dogs, Savannah and Tammy.

Frank enjoyed playing in billiards leagues with his many friends. He had a great deal of knowledge of early rock n roll and was an avid collector of the music of that era.

Frank is survived by his brother John and wife Connie, and nephews Steven and Christopher and their families. He is also survived by several cousins and close friends, especially the Oliver family.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St. Andrews Chapel, Pinckney Colony Road, Bluffton with burial at 2:00 pm, at Lowcountry Memorial Gardens, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.
