Frank E. Dietrick, 88, of Bluffton, SC, died on March 7, 2014. He was the loving husband of Sarah F. Dietrick. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Elwell P. and Mabel T. Dietrick. He was a member of Low Country Presbyterian Church. After graduating from Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, PA, he entered the Navy and served in the Seabee Battalion during World War II. Frank graduated from Lafayette College, Easton, PA and was a Certified Life Underwriter, working his entire career as a General Agent with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Haak, Clarks Summit, PA and is survived by his sister, Doris Burrus, Tuckerton, NJ. He is survived by his sons, Frank E. Dietrick Jr., Philadelphia, PA, Timothy T. Dietrick and wife Bertye, Fleetville, PA., and daughter, Abigail Vakkay, West Hampton, N Y. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Conor, Andy and Will. Frank was the ultimate old school gentleman with a great sense of humor. He loved his days in Sun City with all of his great neighbors. The family would like to send a special thanks to all of the Sun City caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.Foundation, 34th Street and Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Low Country Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will receive friends following the service.
