Frank Anthony Margotta

Frank Anthony Margotta,72, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Friday, January 2, 2008 in the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Stamford, CT on September 27, 1936. He was the son of the late John and Rose Borchetta Margotta.He was a retired Colonel with the US Army who was awarded the Bronze Star. He owned Island Ice Company for several years and was formerly employed by the Town of Hilton Head. He was a Catholic and an avid Gamecock fan.He is survived by three sons, Michael (Susan) Margotta of Birmingham, AL, Mark (Gina) Margotta of Vanconver, Washington and Matthew (Lynn) Margotta of Ft. Pierce, FL; two daughters, Monica (Bill) Barbato of Tolland, CT and Marcia Margotta of Chapel Hill, NC; two sisters, Josephine (Will) Bruno of Bluffton, SC and Diane (Ron) Ford of Boca Raton, FL; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 7, 2008 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Hilton Head Humane Society, P.O.
