Franklin R. Kelly, 80 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010 in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.He was born in Bronx, NY on October 27, 1930. He was the son of the late Patrick and Catherine Molloy Kelly.He was a retired Civil Engineer who built many roads and bridges in the New York area.He enjoyed playing golf. He was a US Army infantry veteran of Korea. He was awarded the bronze star.He is survived by is wife, Anne Langford Kelly of Bluffton; four sons, Frank (Tanya) Kelly of Greenwich, CT, Tom (Susie) Kelly of Ridgefield, CT, Patrick (Bethany) Kelly of Boxford, MA and Michael (Alicia) Kelly of Eagle, CO; three daughters, Dianne (Peter) Doherty of Bluffton, Kathleen (Eric Larson) Kelly of Telluride, CO and Mary (Gary Hardy) Kelly of Cambridge, MA; two brothers, Paul (Patricia) Kelly of Okatie, SC and William (Noreen) Kelly of South Hampton, NY; one sister, Catherine Hucke of Cape Coral, FL and fourteen grandchildren.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 1, 2010. The family will receive friends at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton from 5:00 pm til 6:30 pm. A Wake Service will be held at 6:00 pm.The family requests memorial donations be made to the Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Low Country, 1 Cardinal Road #1, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with their arrangements.
