Fred Lee Aichele

September 27, 1938 — May 9, 2021

Fred Aichele was born September 27, 1938 to Herbert and Mamie Aichele.  He completed his Military training in the East High School Military Training Reserve Corps becoming Private First Class (E-3) and graduated from Morgan County High School in 1957 and served in the United States Army until 1964.

He married Helen in 1968.

Fred served as Worshipful Master in at Swope Park Lodge No. 617 and was a life member of Ararat Stables No. 38, Master of the Royal Secret in the Scottish Rite and was a member of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and The Eastern Star.

He was a Welder Inspector at Armco Steel and Havens Steel when he and Helen moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina where they started the Tender Loving Care Lawn Service.

Fred was an avid fisherman.  He enjoyed working with his hands on a wide variety of crafts.  He also loved music and enjoyed dancing with Helen.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Helen, his Brother Phillip and Sister Joyce, Stepchildren Tom and Faye.   He is survived by 2 Brothers Jerry and Jim.  2 Step-Daughters Brenda Harlow, Bennietta Cox and Husband Stan, 8 Grandchildren, Victoria Crowder, James Calhoun, Terra Squire, Brian Harlow, Tony Calhoun, Stan Cox Jr., Lena Cox, 12 Great Grandchildren 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, many Nieces and Nephews and his Special Friends Hiram, Elena, Sara Barraza and Erika Vargas.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Lowcountry Memorial Gardens, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
