Fred Edward Hedemark Sr.

Fred Edward Hedemark, Sr., of Bluffton, South Carolina passed away at the age of 81, on Friday October 7th, 2022. He was born on September 14, 1941 in Evanston, IL to the late Fred Leroy Hedemark and Clara Elaine Soldner.

Fred lived generously and loved well. He loved God, his family and all people. He loved spending time with his children and grandsons, going to church, painting, and singing his praises to God. Other passions included golfing, walking his doggies, skiing, sailing and being a life long-suffering Chicago Bears fan. Fred really loved being with people and made a difference in so many lives. Fred was a veteran with the U.S. Navy and worked his entire career with Illinois Bell and AT&T.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, David Alan Seibt. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Marianne Hedemark, son Fred Hedemark (Holly), daughter Christine McElroy (Jared), grandsons Reese, Holden and Beckett McElroy and Hudson Hedemark, sister Carole Bellino, cousins John Stauss and Margret Ann Swarbrick, niece Tracie Moulton and nephew Dale Seibt (Kris).

Fred’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday October 22 at 2pm at Venture Church located at 3775 Argent Blvd., Ridgeland, SC. Following the service the family invites you to join them as they continue the celebration with an Ice Cream Social.
