Fred Graeb, Jr.

Fred Graeb, Jr., 76, of Hilton Head Island, SC, formerly of Bridgeport, OH, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born March 26, 1938, in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late Fred and Elsie (Laipple) Graeb. Fred graduated from St. Clairsville High School. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, OH and an associate member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hilton Head Island. He enjoyed singing in the choir of both churches as well as fishing and taking long walks on the beach with his wife. Fred is survived by his wife of 54 years Alice Sue (Glover) Graeb; his sister Elsie Huggins of Glendale, WV; two daughters, Carla Seese of Baton Rouge, LA and Cathy Wilson and husband Brad of Hilton Head Island. Also surviving are Fred's grandchildren, Leah and Christopher Seese, and Tanner, Carley and Sidney Wilson as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service for Fred will be held at a later date to be announced. Memorial contributions in Fred's memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 829 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
