Fred John Santucci
October 4, 1960 – May 29, 2026
Fred J. Santucci, age 65, passed away on May 29, 2026 from a sudden heart attack. He had relocated to Bluffton, SC and was surrounded by family and doing well. Born on October 4, 1960, to Gene and Josephine Santucci, Fred was a man of distinct character, sharp intellect, and a famously complex spirit.
Professionally, Fred was highly driven and respected, serving as Vice President of Environmental Insurance at M&T Bank. Outside of work, his sanctuary was the Monroe Country Club. An avid and passionate golfer, he loved nothing more than a day spent on the fairway among friends.
To say Fred was a simple man would be an understatement. He was a complicated, often difficult man, but one who possessed a big heart and good intentions, even if they didn't always come out the right way. Throughout his life’s challenges, a foundation of family care remained.
Fred’s greatest pride was his children, Alexander and Claire, who were the true anchors of his heart. As a father, Fred carried a deep, fierce love for them, even when the road was steep. He shared a special bond with his daughter, Claire, whose presence brought him immense joy and comfort. With his son, Alex, Fred walked a much different path, and his hope for his son never wavered.
Fred was a father, a son, and a friend to many. He will be remembered for his love for the game of golf, his complex humanity, and a heart that, in its own way, always tried its best. He is predeceased by his parents and survived by his children, Alexander and Claire, and his ex-wife, Amy. Fred will be missed, and we will keep his memory alive.
