Fred B. Valenstein

Fred B. Valenstein, age 73, of Bluffton, SC died Thursday, February 02, 2017 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. Mr. Valenstein was born on May 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Harold and Elaine Valenstein. Fred graduated Madison High School then served in the United States Army. Fred was a great athlete, grew up playing baseball & football and later became an avid tennis & pickle ball player. Fred had many friends, loved to laugh and always put others before himself. Fred loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Toni Valenstein; his children, Greg & Wife Jodi, Ellyn & Tracy & Husband Brian; 7 Grandchildren; Michael & Erica; Madelyn & Justin; Jack, Zoe & Owen. Also survived by his Sister Karen and Husband Stuart. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to American Diabetes Association or Wounded Warrior Project
