Friedrich August Beuerle

Friedrich August “Fritz” Beuerle, age 82, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Richmond, VA, peacefully passed away Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Fritz Beuerle was born February 2, 1934 in Munich, Germany, the son of the late Friedrich Rudolph August Beuerle and Else Gregor Beuerle. Beginning his career as an accountant, Fritz proved himself an adventurous immigrant by moving to Toronto, Canada and then northern Ontario where he worked as a lumberjack for many years. He found his true calling while studying nursing in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he met his wife, Nancy. Fritz later pursued and earned the title of Certified Nurse Anesthetist in Rochester, MN. He continued on to work at the Mayo Clinic, serve at many hospitals in Richmond, VA, and practice through his own company, FAB Inc. While in Richmond, Fritz became a proud American citizen. He remained a loyal member of the Winnipeg General Hospital Alumni Association and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Fritz took great pride in his family life as well as his work. An avid golfer and member of Salisbury Country Club in Richmond, Fritz moved to Belfair in Bluffton, SC in 2002 with Nancy to continue his passion. Always enjoying visits from company, he treasured time spent surrounded by a circle of very special neighbors and friends. Fritz also enjoyed playing bridge, collecting stamps, and taking in the sun, birds, and golfers from his back patio. His kindness was evidenced through his many deeds, and he was grateful for the high level of professional care he received in his most recent years. Fritz’s life was marked by his generosity, his love for others, and a contagious smile that sported the occasional mustache. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Beuerle; son, Greg Beuerle and daughter-in-law Amy Beuerle; daughter, Wendy Moore and son-in-law Kenny Moore; three grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Tori Beuerle, and Tom Beuerle; sisters-in-law Helga Beuerle and Susan Docker; brother-in-law Rod Docker; sister Inga Huber; cousin Jenny Gregor; nephew Stefan Beuerle; devoted family friend Stephanie Sherwood; and several other relatives. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 am at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 351 Buckwalter Parkway, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations in Fritz’s name to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street N, Atlanta, GA 30303 or Bluffton Self Help, P.O. Box 2420, Bluffton, SC 29910.
