Gary Dennis Gallagher of Sun City went to be with the Lord Saturday February 20th.
Gary was born February 24, 1944 to Pat and Opal Gallagher in Williamson, WVA. Gary grew up in Atlanta and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from UGA in 1966. Gary served as a pilot in the U.S.A.F., flying worldwide transport and accumulated over 4,000 flight hours in multiengine jet aircraft. He served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1970. He founded a company called Wymodak in 1976 which was responsible for initial site selection and growth of 59 7-Eleven stores in Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota. He continued to fly in association with the business activities of this company.
At the time of his death, he and his wife of 26 years, Brenda Justice, owned and operated a Bark Busters dog training franchise. They relocated to Sun City in 2005 from Denver, Colorado. Gary is additionally survived by three children, Natalie Thompson (Everett), Kellie Askew (James), and Christopher Gallagher (Lynn) and four wonderful grandchildren, Dillon (17) and Justin (12) Askew, and Hayden (8) and Trenton (4) Gallagher. He will be grievously missed by them all.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Sauls Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
