Gene Aubrey Collins

Gene Aubrey Collins Jr., 60, of Hardeeville, SC entered into eternal peace with the Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.He was born in Savannah, GA on June 29, 1952. He was the son of the late Gene Aubrey Collins and Jeanette Bowman Collins Darden.He was a carpenter who enjoyed helping people with their projects which required his expertise as a carpenter. Gene will continue to be remembered in many special ways, but his carpentry in many homes in our area will be his legacy. He was a member at Abundant Life Church in Hardeeville.He is survived by his wife, Sheila Foskey Collins of Hardeeville; one son, James Clayton Collins of Bluffton; two daughters, Selena and Shelby Collins of Hardeeville; one brother, David L. Collins (Lynn) of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Isaiah Walker, Natalie Walker, Tabitha Walker and Harmony Alston and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 4:00 til 6:00 pm at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
