Gene Daniel “Danny” Bryan Jr.

Gene Daniel “Danny” Bryan Jr. moved on to Heaven on Wednesday March 23, 2016. He passed quietly surrounded by his loving family at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on December 23, 1958 in Savannah, Georgia, the son of Gene and Lucille Bryan. He worked with the Savannah Sugar Refinery for 36 years and was considered a hero by many people for his valiant efforts in saving several of his co-workers from the Sugar Refinery tragedy in 2008. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville and had recently been ordained as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Daniel Bryan Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Agnes Irene Bryan; children, Crystal (Gary) Vinson and Gene III (Caitlin); mother, Lucille Bryan; sister, Penny (Scooter) Daley; three grandchildren, Tommy Vinson, Bryan Vinson, and Baylor Bryan, and several nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 West Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville, 13 E. Main Street, Hardeeville, SC with burial following at St. Luke’s Memorial Gardens, 3080 Okatie Highway, Okatie, SC.
