Gene Charlie Harvey

Gene Charlie Harvey, 59 of Sheldon, SC passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on June 8, 1954 to Constance Jennettee Carroll and the late James Charlie Harvey. He was a carpenter and homebuilder. He was a member of the Sheldon Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and tell stories about the life in the lowcountry. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anybody who needed help. He is survived by his mother and step father, Connie Carroll Harvey Way and Thomas Way of Sheldon, SC; one son, Ronald Gene Harvey of Walterboro, SC; one brother, James Ryan Harvey of Sheldon, SC and one grandson, Kyle R. Harvey of North Carolina. He was predeceased by one brother, Richard Garvin Harvey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in the Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
