George Connett

George Fredrick Connett, 83, of Bluffton, SC died January 28, 2013 at Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born on April 14, 1929 in Pekin, IL the son of the late Charles and Margaret Hartwig Connett.He was a US Navy Veteran who served in WWII. He was a machinist for Mid-West Grain Co. of Pekin, IL. He was a Protestant and loved fishing and hunting.He is survived by his sons Kenneth E. Connett (Nancy) of Bluffton, George Dennis Connett of Wisconsin, step-sons Allan Garrison (Kathy) of Mackinaw, IL and David Garrison of East Peoria, IL, brother, Ernest Connett of Bartonville, IL and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice Connett, brother, Clifford Connett and sister, Vivian DuWese.A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pekin, IL.The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Tidewater Hospice, 10 Buckingham Plantation Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910
