George Mitchell

George Mitchell, 60, of Bluffton, SC passed away at his home on Sunday, April 4, 2010. He was born in Bluffton, SC on July 31, 1949. He was the son of the late Oscar Frazier and Sylvia Mitchell.He was a member of First Zion Baptist Church and he enjoyed baseball. He was the #1 fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.He is survived by his wife, Pearl E. Fields Mitchell of Bluffton, SC; three sons, Kurtis Jackson of Savannah, GA, Cornelius (Heather) Mitchell of Billings, Montana and George Mitchell, Jr. of Bluffton, SC; one daughter, Pearl Elaine Mitchell of Bluffton, SC; eight brothers, Paul (Jackie) Mitchell, Kenneth (Theresa) Frazier, Sr., Benjamin (Polly) Frazier, Thaddeus (Albertha) Frazier, Vernal (Shelly) Frazier and John Frazier all of Bluffton, SC; Theodore (Njambi) Frazier of Washington, DC; and Andrew Mitchell of Bluffton, SC; and eight sisters, Marian Haynes, Sara (Richard) Kannick, Louise Fields and Carolyn F. (Oliver) Brown all of Bluffton, SC, Albertha Gray of Alexandria, VA, Margaret Frazier and Isabell Frazier both of Queens, NY, and Shirley Johnson of Hardeeville, SC.He was predeceased by his son, Little George Mitchell; brothers, Oscar Frazier and Allen Mitchell and sisters, Bernice Hamilton and Polly Ann Haynes.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at First Zion Baptist Church, Bluffton, SC with burial in Jackville Cemetery, Bluffton, SC.
