George Russel Swank

George Russel Swank, 79 of Bluffton, SC passed away on November 24, 2016 at Life Care Center of Hilton Head Island, SC. Mr. Swank was born in Mt. Vernon, OH on January 14, 1937 to the late Leona Swank. Mr. Swank and his wife, Patricia moved to Bluffton in 2004 from South Florida. Mr. Swank taught Physical Education for 37 years at Miramar High School in Miramar, FL; received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska where he played varsity basketball and received his masters from Indiana University. He enjoyed playing all kinds of card games. Mr. Swank is survived by his wife, Patricia S. Swank of Bluffton; his son, Steven Mitchell Swank of Georgetown, KY and two grandchildren, Steven Dalton Swank and Dillon Carter Swank both of Elizabeth Town, KY. Services for Mr. Swank will be announced at a later date.
