Gerald Warren Himes

Gerald Warren Himes, 77, of Okatie, SC passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his home.He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 10, 1933. He was the son of the late Manassas Orren and May Sherman Himes.He was retired from the United States Coast Guard. He served in Korea. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.He is survived by four sons, Kenneth W. (Kim) Himes of Bluffton, SC, Edward P. (Laurie) Himes of Sparta, TN, Christopher R. (Kathy) Himes of West Columbia, SC and Michael J. Himes of NJ; one daughter, Sharon M. McCall of Pritchardville, SC; one brother, Donald (Ramona) Himes of Michigan and one sister, Helen Sutherland of Toledo, OH; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Bob Himes.Graveside Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Pinckney Colony Family Cemetery, Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 til 8, Friday, May 28, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.The family requests memorial donations be made to the Pinckney Colony Cemetery, #50 Allen
