Gerald "Jerry" May

Gerald “Jerry” May, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Jerry lived a full and joyful life defined by love, laughter, and friendship.

He was the devoted husband of Joann May, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage, love, and adventure. He was the proud father of Nicole (Adam) Klein and Shannon (Tyler) Broach, and the adoring grandfather of Ethan, Oliver, Reece, and Charlie.

Jerry will be fondly remembered for his zest for life—always ready to celebrate with friends and bring joy to those around him. He was an active member of the Illinois group of Sun City and loved his golf cart rides around the community. His loyal dogs were never far from his side, sharing in the simple pleasures he cherished every day.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Jerry's honor on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:30 am at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Dr., Bluffton, SC 29909. All are welcome.
