Gerald Robert Tanis

Gerald Robert Tanis, 79

Born in Paterson New Jersey,  Gerald passed peacefully at home under hospice care in

Bluffton South Carolina.

He was predeceased by his father Joel and mother Irene Tanis,  sister Dorothy Naughton (Dave), brothers Joel (Kay), Walt, Charlie (Evelyn).

He is survived by his wife Lynne Doherty Tanis, children Karen (Jake) Westbrook, Kim (Nils) Buri,

Mike (Joanne) Tanis and Irene (Mark) Musilli, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his sister in law Ann Tanis.

Gerald (Jerry) attended Ridgewood High School, was an entrepreneur, and worked along side his family at Joel Tanis and Sons.

Jerry had a love for animals especially horses.  He was a private pilot and avid boatsman.

A private family celebration of life is to be held in May.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to Hospice Care of South Carolina in Geralds name https://www.hpcfoundation.org/donate
