Gertrude Munch DempseyRidgeland, SCGertrude Munch Dempsey, 91, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 in her home in Grahamville.She was born October 10, 1915 in Ridgeland to Emily Everlina Vaigneur and Willie Allen Munch. She and her husband owned and operated Ridgeland Furniture Store for many years and after his death, she continued working as a secretary with several difference agencies which included the Clemson University Extension Service. She was a lifelong member of the Ridgeland Baptist Church.She is survived by one sister, Willie Mae Horton of Ridgeland; one brother, Lonnie Munch of Hampton, SC; six nieces, twelve nephews and many grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene H. Dempsey, four sisters, Jenny Kelley, Dorothy Munch and two who died during childhood; and five brothers, Willis, Samuel, Earnest, Celward, and Vincent.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 24, 2007 at Ridgeland Baptist Church with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday at the Church prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to the Ridgeland Baptist Church, P.O.
