Grace Evelyn Vines Richardson

July 30, 1947 — February 1, 2014

Grace Evelyn Vines Richardson, of Weston, Florida, formally of Elizabethton, Tennessee, went to be with our Lord on February 1, 2014. She will be joining her beloved son, Darrell Hamilton Richardson, in Heaven who passed on July 17, 1967. Grace was born on July 30, 1947; she was the daughter of the late Lee Glenn Vines and Mary Ellen Vines; and she was the eldest of five children. She was a 1965 high school graduate of Elizabethton High School and worked as a secretary for several years before becoming a devoted housewife and stay-at-home mother. She married the love of her life of 47 years, Darrell Richardson, on October 21, 1966 in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Grace enjoyed her travels to Hawaii, Sweden, France, and Great Britain with her fondest memory of meeting and having dinner with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. Grace is lovingly remembered for wearing jewelry with bling, her passion of reading books, and her appreciation of music with her favorite artist being Michael Bolton. She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell Richardson of Weston, FL, her daughter Christie Richardson of Hilton Head, SC, and her granddaughter Caroline Thee of Hilton Head, SC. A private viewing will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Central Church in Hilton Head, SC for immediate family followed by a viewing for friends at 1:45 p.m. with service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines Plantation. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is in charge of arrangements. A private viewing will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Central Church in Hilton Head, SC for immediate family followed by a viewing for friends at 1:45 p.m. with service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines Plantation.
