Grady Wilson Floyd, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home in Ridgeland, SC.He was born on September 15, 1935, the son of the late George Dewey Floyd, Sr. and Rosa Maude Smith Floyd. He was a Lineman for South Carolina Electric and Gas; was a member of Tillman Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon; member, Sgt. Jasper Country Club and a former member of SC Army National Guard. He loved to fish, play golf and spoil his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gloria Etheridge Floyd of Tillman, SC; two sons, Terry Wilson (Debbie) Floyd of Port Wentworth, GA; Ronnie K. (Tammy) Malphrus of Ridgeland, SC; two daughters, Crystal Lynn (Angel) Floyd of Savannah, GA; Misty Floyd (Dereck) Brower of Tillman, SC; brother, George Dewey (Carolyn) Floyd, Jr. of Tillman, SC; two sisters, Eloise Fair of Aiken, SC and Virginia Wells of Tillman, SC; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, T. J. Floyd.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Tillman Baptist Church with burial in Floyd Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
