It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Graham William O Brien. Graham sadly passed away suddenly in his home on July 20th, 2022 at Bluffton Parkway, Bluffton, S.C.
Graham was born at The Coombe Hospital, Dublin, Ireland on 9th October, 1972, to William and Una O Brien. Graham lived his younger years in Dublin with his mother, father and sister Carol, not forgetting Bobby the cat. Graham was smart, had a sharp wit and a childish sense of humour. Graham from an early age liked to cook, read, listen and sing music. His interest in food led him to do Hotel and Catering Management in Birmingham college. This is where the opportunity arose to work in Hilton Head, South Carolina. For Graham this was a dream come true, he always dreamed of America. And so began his new life in the U.S. For Graham, South Carolina was home, the place he loved best to be. He developed deep routes here and met all those who became so precious and special to him. This is where Graham became 'Papa' Graham, a title that brought him so much joy.
Graham is survived by his father, William O Brien. His sister Carol and two nieces Chloe and Lucy. Graham has many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family and friends that will be mourning his loss.
Sauls Funeral home has been entrusted with Graham's funeral and cremation.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton with a memorial mass beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Graham's final resting place will be back home in Ireland with his mother who passed before him.
