Gregory Bruce Yingling

November 2, 1950 — May 18, 2013

Gregory Bruce Yingling of Okatie went home to be with his Lord in Heaven on May 18, 2013. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 2, 1950 to Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Laura Logue Yingling. Bruce received his education from Westminster College in Westminster, Pennsylvania. He was the founder of the Island Visitors Center in Bluffton. He was an active member of The Church of the Cross in Bluffton where he served as a Stephen Minister and on the Prayer Team. He also facilitated a Bible Study called "Unexplainable Apart from God" He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter Brandy (Stacey); mother, Laura; and brother, Douglas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 on the Bluff at The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC. Memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Overby Favata (EOF) Outreach Ministry, 146 Col. Thomas Heyward Road, Bluffton, SC 29909.
