Grover Garfield Price Lowther

Grover Garfield Price Lowther, 89, widow of R. B. Lowther, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Ridgeland Nursing Center in Ridgeland, SC. She was born in Ridgeland, SC on July 30, 1925, the daughter of Ada Vaigneur Price and Grover Garfield Price. She was named after her father who died before she was born. She was more affectionately known as "G.G.". She was a Baptist and a lifetime member of Great Swamp Baptist Church. She loved her flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was also an avid reader. She is survived by three children, Brann (Linda Sue) Lowther of Greenwood, SC; Phil (Cathy) Lowther of Okatie, SC; Lyril (Billy) Poovey of Ridgeland, SC; grandchildren, Michael (Carla) Lovell; Michelle (Thomas) Tyler; Hope (Vince) Guerra; Hal Turpin; Dow (Melissa) Lowther, Rush (Jessica) Lowther; Branhan Lowther; Will Lowther and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Lowther and daughter, Marie Lowther Lovell. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland with burial in Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
