Guy Johnson Jr.

Guy Johnson Jr. was born May 29, 1925 in Richmond, Virginia. Guy was the first born son of Guy Johnson & Willie Belle Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Marian(Rusty) Walker Johnson of 64 years; two daughters, Cheryl Riely of Tampa & Pamela Belle Clark(Steve) of Raleigh and two grandchildren, Roxanne Riely of Denver, CO and Dustin Clark of Charlotte, NC.

Guy attended Dartmouth College and graduated from Bucknell University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during WW II and saw action in the Pacific aboard a fleet tanker in Okinawa. He was employed by AMICA Mutual Insurance Company in Boston, San Francisco & Baltimore for 39 years before retiring in 1991. In 1995, he & Rusty left their Severna Park Home of 35 years and settled in Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head, SC. During his business career he was President of the San Francisco Jaycees; President of the Baltimore Claims Managers Council; President of the Severna Park Rotary Club & awarded as a Paul Harris Fellow; member of the Board of Directors of Chartwell Country Club (Severna Park, MD) and had a Governors appointment to the Board of Directors of the Property & Casualty Insurance Guaranty Corporation of Maryland.
