Harold Coleman "Butch" Floyd, 70, of Hardeeville, SC died Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Floyd was born in Hardeeville, SC on September 22, 1944, the son of the late Harold C. Floyd and Willie Bly Bowman Floyd. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving with the 173rd Infantry Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He was a Green Beret, a Paratrooper, and was a recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge and the Purple Heart. He was a carpenter for many years and worked with Horton Construction Company.
Mr. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Donna Fleury Floyd; son, James Philippe Floyd (Kelli) of Alamogordo, NM; daughter, Renée Floyd Bannon (Brian) of Ridgeland, SC; sister, LaJuan Willis of Hardeeville, SC; and grandchildren, Blake Bannon and Layla Floyd.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, Ridgeland Chapel followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m.
